Carlson Hotels Group, Fatburger and Wyndham Hotel Group are the latest franchises to announce international expansion plans.
Together with The Mayapada Group, Carlson Hotels will bring its luxury Regent brand to Indonesia. The Regent Bali will have 110 rooms and opens in 2011. Carlson also has plans to open Regent properties over the next three years in Abu Dhabi, Puerto Rico and India.
Fatburger will open 15 new franchises throughout Canada. In addition, the California-based burger chain will develop numerous locations throughout Asia and the Middle East in 2010. The chain plans to open 58 units in Dubai, Egypt, Kuwait, Lebanon, Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Syria. It will also open stores in Beijing, Hong Kong and Macau, China, as well as Jakarta, Indonesia, and Singapore.
Wyndham Hotel Group will also open two new hotels in Singapore. The 17-story Ramada Singapore and 14-story Days Hotel Singapore will be located in Zhongshan Park, near the country’s Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall national monument. The new hotels are scheduled to open in 2014.
