No surprise here: Jack in the Box Foundation again raised $25,000 by bowling.

The franchise's foundation raised the money at its annual bowl-a-thon. The funds, raised by nearly 300 Jack in the Box employees, family members, friends and vendors, will help the local Big Brothers, Big Sisters agency expand its Operation Bigs program to include military families living in the Coronado and Pt. Loma areas of San Diego.

The program provides mentors, primarily from the military, to kids whose parents are deployed overseas. The Jack in the Box Foundation funded the launch of Operation Bigs at Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base in 2004.
