Bennigan’s Franchising Co. appointed Terry Hamblen as vice president of supply chain logistics and administration. Hamblen is an industry veteran with more than 30 years experience in restaurant franchising. His addition is part of Bennigan’s growth plan, which calls for 12 new locations to open domestically and internationally in 2012.

Family-owned pizza chain Donato’s named Bonnie Brannigan vice president of marketing. Brannigan previously served as managing partner of Spark Strategy Group and vice president of marketing for Max & Erma’s Restaurants.

Brandstand Group, a restaurant marketing and communication firm, named Phil Friedman chairman of the board of directors. Friedman is the former CEO and president of McCalister’s Deli and current CEO of Salsarita’s Fresh Cantina.

Argonne Capital Group, a private investment firm, hired Layton Grisette as principal and Bill Weimar as vice president. Previously, Grisette served with Arcapita Inc. Weimer spent two years at Arcapita Inc., and worked with the leveraged finance group at Banc of America Securities. Weimer’s responsibilities include evaluating new acquisitions and supporting the firm’s existing investments in IHOP, Applebee’s and Stevie B’s Pizza restaurants.

Wendy Worley  joined the Hilton Garden Inn Atlanta Airport Hotel as director of sales and marketing. Worley has worked in the hospitality industry for more than 14 years, with such brands as Hilton Worldwide, AmeriSuites, Sheraton Hotels, The Westin and Magnolia Hotels.

Fresh Enterprises promoted  Chuck Rink to CEO. The company operates La Salsa Mexican Grill and Canyons Burger Baja Fresh Mexican Grill. Rink served as president of Fresh Enterprises since January 2008.InterContinental Hotels Group appointed Larry Light global chief brands officer. Light is author of the book Six Rules for Brand Revitalization. He was global chief marketing officer for McDonald’s from 2002-2005, and was CEO of Arcature, a brand management consultancy.

Caring Transitions, an Ohio-based moving franchise, named Chris Seman as its new president. He assumes the position from John Buckles, who is transitioning to the role of president at TruBlue, an affiliated maintenance and repair franchise concept.

BlueGrace Logistics, a nationwide logistics, transportation and technology provider, hired Adam Blankenship as senior vice president  of strategy and customer development.

BalanceDiet, the diet and weight-loss chain center, appointed Felicia Sanders as senior vice president. Sanders has a

20-year track record of managing and growing health and fitness franchises.

Ron Shaich, founder, and Bill Moreton, president and CEO are Panera Bread Co. new co-CEOs. Also, Thomas Patrick Kelly was named interim CFO. Kelly is a financial executive with more than 10 years of CFO and CEO experience.

Computer Explorers, a technology education franchise, appointed Carol Hadley as its new president. Hadley is an experienced business leader most recently with Houston-based Graco Awards, a

manufacturer of military medals.

Wendy’s Co. hired Craig Bahner to be its chief marketing officer and a member of its executive leadership team. Bahner had a 20-year career at Procter & Gamble.

The Krystal Co. hired Doug Pendergast as president and CEO. Pendergast is a 12-year restaurant industry veteran previously serving as chief franchising and development officer for the Chattanooga, Tennessee-based Craftworks Restaurants & Breweries franchise.
