Snip-its has a new philosophy: Less is more. The Massachusetts-based salon franchise unveiled its new store model, Snip-its Express, for franchisees with limited space.
A traditional Snip-its unit is about 1,500 square feet, while Snip-its Express units measure 800 square feet. Christine Mudd, Snip-its’ director of franchise development, said that even though the stores are smaller, owners can expect to see the same return on investment as with bigger stores.
"There’s a smaller footprint and lower point-of-entry, with an investment as low as $127,775," said Mudd. The chain debuted its first Snip-its Express location in Canton, Massachusetts.
Founded in California in 1995, Snip-its was named the 30th fastest-growing franchise by Franchise Times in 2007
