Attitude POSitive, a provider of point-of-sale systems, inventory management and time-clock software for the retail and hospitality industries, added online ordering to its AccuPOS Food POS system. Along with online ordering, the software provides bookkeeping to accounting programs like QuickBooks, Peachtree, Simply Accounting and MAS, along with a touch-screen menu design, a built-in credit card and gratuity processor, customized food prep instructions and customer loyalty tracking.

XPIENT Solutions, LLC, a technology software provider to quick service, fast-casual and family dining restaurants joined the PCI Security Standards Council to increase data security standards and to protect consumer payment information. XPIENT will have access to the card payment security programs and will participate in the standards setting process.

Sarku Japan, a quick-service franchise, contracted with Visual Management Systems (VMS), a digital surveillance company, to monitor employee stealing and inventory shortages, a problem that amounts to nearly four percent of sales in restaurants.  VMS will use its GoVye series DVR and camera systems into Sarku's Electronic Cash Register (ECR) system in more than 140 of its locations.

Element, an international fitness industry for women, will continue working with HUR, a provider of smart card fitness machines. The software provides each machine with a personal resistance setting and a personal heart rate target. Its touch screen offers members to track their preferred settings, and record repetitions, range of motion and resistance.
