McDonald’s Corp. named Tim Fenton chief operating officer. A 39-year veteran with the company, Fenton served as president of McDonald’s Asia, Pacific, Middle East and Africa (APMEA).
Pillar To Post, the home inspection company, added Brian Wieters as vice president of franchise sales. Wieters has spent more than two decades working in franchising for Steak ‘n Shake Enterprises, FastSigns International and Schlotzskys, among others.
Zaxby’s Franchising promoted Blake Bailey to chief financial officer. For the past 11 years, Bailey has been influential in the company’s economic success, says former CFO Tony Townley, who relinquishes his title for his new office, executive vice president.

Barbara Leach is the new director of human resources for Liberty Tax Service.
ColorTyme Inc., the franchisor of rent-to-own stores, hired Fred Mattox as vice president and COO. Mattox brings more than 30 years of rent-to-own experience to his new position, beginning as a customer account representative for Lone Star TV Rental Co. and including a stint as divisional vice president for Rent-A-Center.
Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group appointed Harry Gorstayn general manager of the Radisson Blu Mall of America. The upscale hotel is scheduled to open spring 2013 and is the second Radisson Blu in North America. Gorstayn has nearly 30 years of experience in hotel management with Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts.
Century 21 Real Estate appointed Carmen Mercado director of recruiting. Mercado was the education and diversity manager for Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Long Island.
Sonic, the drive-in restaurant chain, named Mike Gallagher vice president of market planning and franchising and Todd Smith vice president of marketing. Gallagher most recently served as senior director of franchise services for Arby’s Restaurant Group. Smith was director of marketing and menu innovation for Wendy’s International.
Wyndham Hotel Group appointed Kevin Kobishop vice president of operations for the Wyndham Hotel & Resorts brand. Most recently, Kobishop served as the corporate director of food and beverage for Amalgamated Holdings in Sydney, Australia.
Friendly’s Ice Cream appointed Anthony Lavely as executive vice president and chief marketing officer. Before accepting this position, Lavely was chief marketing officer for Church’s Chicken, and he worked in marketing and franchise development for Ruth’s Chris Steak House. Earlier in his career, Lavely held management roles at Domino’s Pizza, Long John Silver’s, Burger King and Sara Lee.
BalanceDiet Co. named Candy Tree chief marketing officer. Formerly the CMO of FreshDiet and Crunch Fitness, she oversaw all marketing, branding, strategy, advertising, creative, design, partnerships, product development, events and PR.
Home Care Assistance tapped Bonnie Snow as community outreach director. Snow spent eight years with the Upstate Hospice Organization in South Carolina as a regional marketing director and community education representative.
