Executive Ladder

Fazoli’s, the Italian quick-service restaurant chain, tapped Craig Sherwood to lead its nationwide franchising effort.  Sherwood oversaw franchise development at Corner Bakery Café.  

Church’s Chicken appointed Robert Crews as its executive vice president and chief marketing officer.  Crews led the international marketing team at Wendy’s.

 

John Martin joined E la Carte, the Silicon Valley company dealing in restaurant customer service technology, as head of sales. Martin worked 12 years at OpenTable.

Certified Restoration Drycleaning Network, the textile restoration franchise, promoted Garry Bradamore to vice president-Canada. Bradamore was director of business development for CRDN in Canada.  

BrightStar Group Holdings promoted Jayson Pearl to the newly created position of chief brand officer. Pearl worked at BrightStar as senior vice president of the brand development group.  

Hurricane Grill & Wings appointed David Bloom as senior vice president of brand expansion. Bloom served as COO for Bridge International Academies in Nairobi, Kenya, helping with the construction of schools in the developing world. Bloom also founded two companies, Capital Idea Group and FranGrowth.

Margaret Schroeder joined Capriotti’s, the Las Vegas-based sandwich chain, as its new director of marketing. Schroeder served as director of marketing at Cacique USA and as senior marketing manager for Paramount Farms.  

EagleRider, a motorcycle rental and tour franchise, appointed Shannon Diem as global marketing director. Before joining EagleRider, Diem served as marketing director of Linea Pelle, a leather goods manufacturer.

Wingstop named Charles Morrison as its new president and CEO.  He held management positions at Kinko’s, Boston Market and Pizza Hut, and was president of Steak and Ale. He most recently served as president and CEO at Pizza Inn Holdings.

Dunkin’ Brands Group named Neil Moses its chief global strategy officer.  Moses was serving there as CFO prior to accepting his new position.  

Pizza Inn Holdings appointed Clinton Coleman as interim CEO.  Coleman has served on the Pizza Inn board of directors since 2007, and is managing director of Newcastle Capital Management, Pizza Inn’s largest shareholder.  

Patrick Cescau will become chairman of InterContinental Hotels Group after current Chairman David Webster retires on December 31, 2012. Cescau  worked for Unilever as group chief executive.

McDonald’s Corp. named Dave Hoffmann  as its president of the Asia/Pacific, Middle East and Africa Region, making him responsible for the operation of 5,500 McDonald’s restaurants.  Hoffmann has worked for McDonald’s for 16 years.

Leonard Comma was promoted at Jack in the Box Inc. to president and chief operating officer. Comma was serving as executive vice president and COO there.

Build-A-Bear Workshop appointed Thomas Pinnau to its board of directors, where he will serve on the audit committee and the compensation and development committee.    

AM Conservation Group announced Todd Recknagel as its new CEO, replacing founder Paul Cutler.  Recknagel most recently served as CEO and president of Mr. Handyman International

iTAN Sun Spray Spa hired Suzie Hunter as its director of franchise operations. She was a field auditor at American Driveline Systems.

Carlson, a privately held, global hospitality and travel company, elected Geoffrey Gage and Wendy Nelson to its board of directors. In addition to founding Gage Brand Communications, Gage managed integrated marketing at Gage Marketing Group and worked in advertising at Campbell-Mithun and Grant & Palombo.  Nelson joined Carlson in 2003, and served as executive vice president of Carlson Hotels Real Estate and later of brand strategy for Carlson Hotels during her tenure.

Re-Bath welcomed Dan Mock as a member of its new team of franchise consultants.  Mock has worked as vice president of training and franchise relations for Glass Doctor, and most recently served as vice president and general manager of ProGlass Alliance.

H&R Block appointed Gregory Macfarlane as its CFO. Most recently, Macfarlane served as executive vice president and CFO of Ceridian Corp.

Fiesta Restaurant Group named John Todd as its chief development officer. Todd brings nearly 20 years of real estate and development experience gained working for RTM Restaurant Group and for Arby’s, where he served as that brand’s chief development officer.

Zina Hyman was hired at Togo’s Eateries Inc. as real estate manager.  Hyman served as director of leasing for Los Angeles-based developer Dasher Lawless.

Alissa Ramsay is the new marketing manager at WIN Home Inspection. Ramsay managed license agreements with Major League Baseball Properties and served as director of franchise development for Appleton Learning. Also, Sue Dybbro has rejoined WIN Home Inspection in her former role of lead accountant and office manager.  During her time away from WIN, Dybbro worked as an accounting consultant for a number of small businesses in Seattle.

Primary Color appointed Paul Wartman as senior vice president of franchisor development, further expanding its team of enterprise solutions experts.  Wartman worked as a consultant for RedBrick Pizza and Golden Spoon Frozen Yogurt, and oversaw franchise development for Fresh Enterprises.

Bennigan’s Franchising hired Mike Understein as vice president of catering operations, making him responsible for launching its new catering initiative.  Understein has held operating positions at Applebee’s and Hard Rock Café and most recently worked for Panera Bread.

Tossed promoted A. Michael Toroyan to chief operating officer. Toroyan worked as a consultant for Outback Steakhouse, Red Robin, Wendy’s and Carrabba’s Italian Grill before joining Tossed just over a year ago, most recently serving as its chief development officer.

Glass Doctor named Douglas Dotson its new vice president of operations.  Dotson worked 18 years for Safelite and was a Kansas City district manager for Harmon Auto Glass before joining Glass Doctor in 2003.  He most recently served as Glass Doctor’s vice president of franchise relations and training.

Caring Senior Service, the San Antonio-based homecare franchise, appointed Kyle Sinclair its new chief operating officer. Prior to joining Caring Senior Service, Sinclair served most recently as executive director at Texas Home Health.
