Strickland Brothers Oil Change is a drive-thru oil change franchise that advertises 10-minute service. Headquartered in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, the company did $116 million in sales across 226 studios in 2023, up 337.6 percent from 2021 when sales were $27 million. The oil change franchise’s unit count grew 140.4 percent during that three-year period. “I believe that you look inward first. It starts with net promoter score, regardless of your industry. Customer feedback loops and satisfaction ratings are a leading indicator of future organic growth. If organic growth is positive, you have a license to grow inorganically,” CEO Justin Strickland said in an email. “From that, build the best team that you can find and then my job becomes to help vastly different personalities find ways to work together using one another’s strengths.” The brand makes its Fast & Serious debut this year. “We’re challenged daily by a lot of different things. If growing fast businesses were easy, everyone would do it,” Strickland continued as he cited “macro factors that are uncontrollable” among the challenges. Princeton Equity Group invested in the automotive maintenance concept in 2021. The private equity firm owns stakes in Card My Yard, Ellie Mental Health, Pirtek and Stretch Zone, among other franchisors. Strickland Brothers’ first shop opened in 2016. The brand also offers vehicle inspection services.
